Applying for Awards

If you feel someone in your group / district is deserving of an award and you feel they have been forgotten, please see the link to the TSA Awards pages with example citations and forms. Please send the completed form to the District Secretaries.

The CC’s top tip:

Make sure the citation contains real quantifiable evidence,

“In 2001 John Smith built the failing cub pack up from 3 cubs to 36 in less than an year as he changed the programme and he increased the assistant leadership team by 5 and recruited 3 young leaders. ”

“July 2001 John took 24 Cubs on a International Camp cub to Belgium with 2000 cubs from all over Europe. The Cubs came back very really loving scouting and when back and the pack increased to 36 September”

In Feb 2002….”  ect ect ect

This will make a real difference in the citation..

But remember it must be Outstanding / Specially Distinguished / Most Extraordinary service. Applicants must go above and beyond their normal scouting.

The Chief Scouts Long Service awards are given for normal service !!
