Deputy County Commissioner for Programme

The role of the DCC for Programme is to manage the County Youth Programme Team consisting of the County Section Leaders (for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network and Young Leaders.) The team also provides support and assistance to the section Assistant District Commissioners, District Explorer Scout Commissioners and District Scout Network Commissioners.

The County Youth Programme Team alsos provide resources, materials and a supplementary county programme of activities and events that compliment district and group programmes.

The Youth Programme team is led by Terry Wiggins the Deputy County Commissioner for Programme.

Terry started Cubs in 1968-69 in Walworth at the 19th Southwark and went on to Scouts from 1970 to 75, durnig this time he went to Norway, Sweden and Denmark with Greater London South on a Cruise Ship!

He has been a Scout Leader in Royal Greenwich District (formaly in Royal Eltham), for 12 years and was Deputy District Commissioner for Programe when the new District launch in 2011 a role he carried out for 2 years.

Terry is experenced in supporting our youth programme and in leading teams in organising large events and lead on organising Royal Greenwich's first District event - Hulabaloo!

Terry is a Scout Leader with the 8th Royal Eltham Scout Group. He started work at the House of Commons in September 1974 as a chef and is still there!
