There’s lots of opportunities for you and your family to get involved too…
Scouting simply would not exist without the enthusiasm of our adult helpers. With this in mind we encourage parents and family members (over 18) to lend a hand as and when they can at their youngster’s Beaver, Cub or Scout meetings.
Whether you can spare two hours a week, a month or a term, it’s far easier to provide exciting activities at our meetings if we have your support. You may think that you have nothing to offer but you'd be surprised!
There are many ways you can get involved. Being part of Scouting is great fun and it goes without saying that helping young people can be one of the most rewarding things you can do.
We know that life can be busy, so we're all about flexibility: You really can give as much or as little of your time as you choose on your terms!
Volunteering some of your spare time with Scouting provides many benefits; It can enrich your life, over 90% of our volunteers say that their Scout experiences are hugely beneficial and has helped them gain new skills and forge new friendships.
Over two thirds of our volunteers say their CVs have been enhanced by volunteering with Scouting. Employers love to see the commitment of volunteers, and through Scouts you can get vital experience in areas like management, administration and activities.
You don't need to know anything about Scouting - we provide an induction, training and lots ongoing support.
There's never been a better time to get involved in Scouting and help inspire the leaders of the future. For more information speak to the leaders when you visit the Group or get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org
