We aim to make training accessible to everyone that volunteers with Scouting, regardless of geography, education, personal circumstances or special needs. Our Training is also designed to provide opport
-unities to enable people to interact and share their experiences with others.
Please note that you must complete Getting Started Training (modules 1, 2 and either 3 or 4), before attending any of the residential courses.
A wide range of training and support is available from South London Scouts Adult Training Active Support Unit. The Unit is made up of our Trainers, Facilitators, Local Training Managers and everyone that supports and helps provide training across our County.
Below are details of our 2016/17 Adult Training programme for Leaders, Managers and Supporters.
All residential courses are held at the South London Scout Centre, Grange Lane, Dulwich, SE21 7LH, unless otherwise stated.
Our courses are limited to 28 people and individual modules are limited to 18 people. Places can be booked by click on the links below.
Refreshments and snacks are provided, day courses include lunch, weekend course includes all meals.
All adult training is provided free of charge to members of Scouting across the London Region.
However, if you fail to attend any training that you have book on to you will be charged for your place as follows:
- £10.00 for an evening course
- £15.00 for a day course
- £50.00 for a weekend course
REMEMBER: You are in control. So, book onto courses or modules, attend the training and get the modules you have attended validated!
In additional, a non-refundable fee of £22.00 is required to cover the cost of catering on a weekend course. This is payable at least 10 days before the training takes place.
All applicants from outside of London are required to pay a booking fee to secure a place and this is not refundable at any time.
