To coincide with the County sending a unit to the next World Scout Jamboree in 2019, there is a trip being organised for those who were not successful in being part of the unit to represent the county.
The planned trip will be just after the Jamboree unit return to the UK in August 2019.
11th August to 21st August 2019
The 90 youngsters were invited to attend the information meeting and have all been given the chance to attend the trip.
The trip will be a 10 day experience in Canada across two locations
- Starting with a stay by lake whistler doing 6 days of adventures activates ranging from, White water rafting to zip lines and off road buggy’s. The group will be staying in yurt style and log cabin accommodation.
Whistler is the ultimate summer destination. Adventure and culture co-mingle in rugged alpine peaks, lush temperate rainforests, crystalline rivers and lakes.
- Then a move to Vancouver, staying in a local hotel to do some sightseeing around the local area.
Vancouver is a bustling west coast seaport in British Columbia, is among Canada’s densest, most ethnically diverse cities.
The price of the trip covers all flights and travel while in Canada and all food and accommodation and activities.
Depending on the up take form the invited young people there may be possible spare places on offer for other explores from the county to apply.
