Our booking terms
We don’t want to make things complicated but, we do believe that it’s important that everyone has the same understanding when booking onto the training opportunities we run. With this in mind we have a few simple terms and conditions for booking and participating in our training.
All adult training is provided free of charge* to members of scouting across the Greater London scout region.
As you will appreciate, our training is planned and delivered by a team of dedicated volunteers and these fees are in place to encourage people to follow through on their commitment, once they book a place, to attend our free training and help us avoid the situation where a lot of planning and preparation for courses and sessions takes place for people that do not attend.
Residential courses
A non-refundable* fee of £25.00 is required to cover the cost of catering on a weekend course. This is payable at the time of booking your place. and is only refundable in line with our full terms of booking (see link below).
All applicants from outside of London are required to pay the appropriate booking fee, as listed in our full T&Cs which can be downloaded below, to secure a place and this is not refundable at any time.

First response training
Places on our first response courses are in very high demand and disappointingly, we constantly have people that book onto our learning and cancel their place at the last minute or do not turn-up and this means that someone who is waiting to complete the training could of taken part.
To help manage the demand for places on our first response courses and in the hope of running full sessions we have, hesitantly, introduced a £12.00 per person non-refundable booking fee to attended this training course.
This fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another course. If you are unable to take part in the course you book on to you will need to pay the fee again to book on another course.
Please remember, that this fee is not new - we have had a booking fee for first response courses since 2018
